Altoona is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Altoona follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Nice cool shady park great playground the kids always love playing here. Very large and not too crowded.

This is a lovely park! The surrounding community is well-maintained older homes, but the playground at the park is brand new. There were also quite a few swings, some with baby and toddler seating. The park itself was clean, had a lot of benches and picnic tables and several covered pavilions. It was the perfect place to stretch our legs and let our kids "get their wiggles out" as we passed through.

The park is spacious and well maintained. However, if you plan to quietly walk your dog through it - forget it! People walk their dogs without a leash or use the long leash and allow them to run up to your dog without asking or any regard to the plea to avoid that. Itβs an issue since there are so many people with their dogs. Although is not a dog park - this is how itβs managed. I will not be coming back!

Great spot for a picnic, letting kids run around, or just finding a nice spot to read a book. There's tons of shaded area. With about 5 pavilions and maybe a dozen uncovered picnic tables, the area can accommodate a lot of people.

Highland Park is such a great little park. Old forest with massive oaks everywhere. It is an ideal place to look for mushrooms, disc golf, picnic and many other outdoor activities.
